Jung Ah Kwon

With experience in acquisitions, tax law, commercial leases and agreements in distribution and shareholder and licensing, Jung brings a wealth of knowledge to Haber Lawyers. Corporate, commercial, real estate and wills and estate law are among her areas of vast expertise. She has quarterbacked both domestic and international corporate transactions and represented clients in every corner of residential and commercial real estate. Her experience also encompasses overseeing cross-border transactions and merger and acquisition dealings at a “big four” Toronto accounting firm. Before joining Haber, Jung managed a full-service law firm in Mississauga, helping clients in commercial and real estate matters.

An educator at heart, Jung’s MO is to arm clients with case law knowledge to gain strategic advantage. She skillfully intuits her clients’ perspective, allowing her to anticipate problems before they escalate and reduce undue stress and anxiety. Agile at adapting her approach to the unique legal needs of clients, she avoids a boilerplate response. As a result, she delivers among the soundest and most practical legal strategies in the business.

An enthusiastic speaker, Jung generously shares her knowledge base within the legal community and beyond. She has published numerous articles on emerging tax issues for the Canadian Tax Foundation and Carswell’s GST & Commodity Tax Reporter.

Jung’s first educational milestone was a BA Honours in human biology and French from the University of Toronto. Subsequently, she earned both a Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy and her LL.B. at the University of Windsor. She is fluent in English, Korean and French.
